How to make a comic characters Part 1- Character description

 

Character description

Your OC (Original Character) has to have a descriptive personality to make them easy to recognize.  Here are some basics to keep in mind while making a character description. You can refer to your favourite character to help you (We shall use Annabeth Chase here).

1. What is your OC's Name? Eg. Annabeth Chase.

2. What species is your OC? Eg. Annabeth is a Demigod. 

3. Where does your character come from? Where do they live currently? Eg. Annabeth was born in Virginia and lives in San Francisco and spends her summer in Camp Half-Blood.

4. A  trait in your character that keeps them persistent in completing the task ahead. Eg: Annabeth wanted to keep the world and the people she kept dear safe from harm. In the PJO series, she also wanted Luke to change into a good person again.

5. A weakness in the character. Eg: Annabeth's Fatal flaw is hubris (excessive self-pride) and she is scared of spiders.

6. What is your OC's response when a challenge arises. Eg. Annabeth is a strategic thinker, she would come up with a plan before attacking. She is strong at hand-to-hand combat and is good at wielding a dagger. She is a strong individual and can protect herself easily. 

7.  A short backstory of your OC to bring more understanding to the audience and more depth to a character. the backstory could be said as fragments during your story. Eg: Annabeth had to run away from home because of the monsters that chased her, then she met up with Luke and Thalia who became her family. While trying to reach Camp-Halfblood, they were stopped by a cyclops, making the other monsters catch up resulting in Thalia's death. This incident made Annabeth hate cyclops and why she still has belief in Luke changing into a good person again.

8. What regional/ religious practice does your OC follow. Eg. Like all Greek Demigods that reach Camp-Halfblood, She worship(ish) the Greek gods. As a halfblood, she trains to defend herself and fellow demigods from monsters etc.

This would make up the personality of your character.
